How to finish stories chapter by chapter in Fyrlo
A sustainable pace for completing a multi-chapter Book without burning out—or losing the plot.
Finishing is a skill separate from starting. Fyrlo makes generating easy; discipline decides whether the library fills with complete drafts or abandoned chapter threes.
This guide covers a repeatable rhythm: continue, review, plan next beat, repeat until export.
Set a chapter cadence
One chapter per session beats five chapters in a burst followed by a month off. Calendar a realistic cadence—three chapters a week, or one on Sunday mornings.
The continue-writing loop
Each session: open library → reread last chapter ending → check outline for this chapter’s goal → generate → skim for continuity → save.
Do not generate the next chapter until you have read the current one. Small errors compound fast in AI drafts.
Know when you are done
A draft is finished when the climax resolves and an aftermath (if any) is written—not when every sentence is perfect. Perfection belongs in a later edit pass, possibly outside Fyrlo.

- Final chapter matches your planned ending
- Cover and export ready for readers
Done is better than infinitely regenerated. Export a complete draft, then revise.
Recovering stalled projects
If you have not opened a project in weeks, reread chapters 1–2 and your outline before continuing. Add a prompt note: “Previously, X happened; this chapter Y.”
